At Home Magazine A-List Award 2014
This “tuxedo” (black and white) kitchen was created by combining an entire service wing (two small bedrooms, a small shared bath, and an entirely “land-locked” interior service kitchen) within an hundred year old house.
Entirely new windows, doors, millwork, etc.; long, long island (eleven feet) given robust country-house legs and valance.
“Refectory” breakfast table parallels island; doors and doorways exit space left and right—all 3 unseen sides, actually—to back stoop, servery and formal dining, living-room, storage pantry, front entry hall, etc.
